Pedra Silva Arquitectos is among the list of awards for the EUROPAN 10 competition. The results were announced on January 18. Our proposal, “VORONOY FOOTPRINTS”, for the Cascais-Cabreiro study area was awarded with a “Special Citation” by the jury.







Our office won the prize for “Best New Dental Practice in the UK”. The award ceremony was “Held at the intercontinental Hotel in London this year, the national Private Dentistry Awards saw the largest turnout in the history of the awards. The competition was as tough as always and with 13 different categories”.

After months of preparation, Pedra Silva Architects has concluded the opening of our first office in the United Kingdom, in Brighton. The company will be trading as a Limited company under “Pedra Silva Ltd” and is operational since October 2009. We hope that this branch will facilitate relations for our portfolio of international clients and we look forward to expanding within this interesting market.







Clip Concept in Braga Parque just opened. The shop is the 3rd of its kind and still with the same design approach of Clip concept having a sophisticated street look we added a new design feature. The hole right side of the shop is covered with boards of transparent polycarbonate where a rhythm of lights will follow the music played in the shop. The Shop has a few more new features and for sure worth a visit.









We were the Winners of a national competition for the design of a new office space for Fraunhofer Portugal. The 1950m2 research area will accommodate 90 scientists.
Fraunhofer is an anonymous name if you were to ask most people walking on the street. But they are responsible for a lot of innovation like for instance, the invention of the MP3 audio format.

Taking this spirit of innovation and creation, where research knows no boundaries and results from years of investigation impact ordinary peoples’ lives in a big way, we wanted this office to capture that spirit and potentiate it.







We’re launching the new pedrasilva.com website today . We did a total redesign to improve navigation and accessibility of information.

It’s initially available in Portuguese and English and we will soon introduce new content.









G star opened their 3rd shop in Portugal this time in the down town area of Chiado, Lisbon. The shop is a flagship shop located in a historic l area of Lisbon and since the shop has a lot of unique sprite our challenge was to incorporate the G-Star design image with in these special settings. Thanks for another great experience to work with the whole team from G-Star.









Another Clip Concept store opened in Lisbon in the new retail shopping center of Dolce Vista Tejo. The shop has a few different design elements but over all keep within the concept of the first Clip where the focus is on the sophisticated street look combined with unique details.









Brighton Implant Clinic opened its doors to the public. The design captures the beautiful combination of the old brick house and a clean high-tech language that gives the place a modern spirit without losing it connection to the surrounding place. The 280m2 clinic has 5 dental surgeries on tree different floors, three dimensional CAT Scanners, a Prosthetic Laboratory in the basement and admiration area on the top floor.
